Malcolm Gillies is a retired vice-chancellor of two universities in London, where he was also chair of the mission group, London Higher, during 2010–14.
A musicologist, linguist and educator, he has published widely, particularly about eastern European culture and higher education policy.
He is now a Visiting Professor of King’s College London and Mathias Corvinus Collegium in Budapest, and a Foundation Board member of Nyenrode Business University in The Netherlands.
