KONEKSI: The Australia-Indonesia Knowledge Partnership
ACOLA is proud to be a supporting partner of KONEKSI, Australia’s flagship program in the Indonesia knowledge and innovation sector, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Australia for five years (2023-2027). KONEKSI is managed by a highly talented team based in Jakarta, with ACOLA providing Australian-based support.
KONEKSI’s goal is to achieve enduring relationships between Indonesian and Australian researchers and institutions that advance mutual interest, and support Indonesia’s inclusive and sustainable development. Its purpose is to increase the use of knowledge-based solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies.
ACOLA, with and through Australia’s five Learned Academies, will support a range of KONEKSI activities. Our collective expertise and Australian sector leadership will help raise awareness of KONEKSI opportunities among the Australian knowledge sector, ensure a rigorous assessment and review processes for grants, support promulgation of research learnings in Australia, and contribute technical assistance on enhancing research translation.
We hope the Australian research community engages in this new and important initiative, to build stronger networks between Australian and Indonesian researchers, and promote interdisciplinary research, evidence-based policy and innovation.
More information about the program, including updates, can be found on the KONEKSI website.
