ACOLA Parliamentary Seminar

This seminar is part of a collaboration between the Parliamentary Library and ACOLA to bring Australia’s leading minds from Australia’s Learned Academies and other experts to important topics of interest to Parliament.

This session was a conversation with Professor Cheryl Jones a leading Australian expert on anti-microbial resistance (AMR). AMR is a critical issue for our health system and society, especially as it has a significant impact on death rates. It explores what AMR is, Australia’s rate of death attributed to bacterial AMR, changes in bacteria, work underway to monitor and respond to AMR and future policy considerations for responding to AMR.

The seminar was held on 21 September 2022 and recorded by the Parliamentary Library.
