Antarctica | ACOLA Parliamentary Library Seminars
The Antarctic — strategic competition and the future of the international legal regime
This seminar, the fourth as part of a collaboration between the Parliamentary Library and the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA), will discuss Antarctica governing laws, state of health and territorial issues and the impacts of climate on Southern oceans and Antarctica.
Supported by a robust evidence base and research understandings, these topics will be explored during this seminar by two of Australia’s leading minds from Australia’s Learned Academies.
Acknowledgement of Country
ACOLA acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters on which we live and work across Australia; and the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Country. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to Elders both past and present.
