Indigenous Knowledges | ACOLA Parliamentary Library Seminars
Indigenous Knowledges
This seminar is part of a collaboration between the Parliamentary Library and the Australian Council of Learned Academies (ACOLA) to bring Australia’s leading minds from Australia’s Learned Academies and other experts to important topics of interest to Parliament.
This session was a conversation with two leading Indigenous leaders on Indigenous knowledges and perspectives. Engaging with Indigenous knowledges and perspectives has a multitude of benefits, but it is also important to acknowledge that they are not static; they are continually used and built upon. The seminar explored what these are, the benefits for Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians and how we can better engage with them.
