Climate Change and its Impact on Industry | ACOLA Parliamentary Library Seminars
This seminar is part of a collaboration between the Parliamentary Library and ACOLA to bring Australia’s leading minds from Australia’s Learned Academies and other experts to important topics of interest to Parliament.
Australia’s climate is likely to change significantly over the next 20 – 30 years with higher average temperatures, and increased numbers of extreme events including floods, storms and fires. This seminar outlines current modelling of these effects and explores what it might mean for Australian industries from an economic, technology, resilience and planning perspective.
This session was a conversation led by Professor David Karoly FAA and Professor Jacqueline Peel FASSA.
The seminar was held on 5 April 2023 and recorded by the Parliamentary Library.
